FAQ

Appointments and visits to the surgery

How can I book an appointment?

You can contact us by telephone on 0351 / 284 7014 or use our online enquiry form. Together, we’ll find a time that suits your needs.

What should I bring with me to my first appointment?

Please bring your health insurance card and – if you have one – your bonus booklet, a current medication plan and any relevant dental records. If you have received any forms from us in advance, you may bring them to your appointment already completed.

Why might there still be waiting times even if I have an appointment?

We allocate a fixed time slot for each treatment. However, unforeseen developments during treatment or cases of acute pain may still lead to delays. As soon as a longer wait is foreseeable, we will let you know and discuss the options with you.

Please arrive at the surgery about five to ten minutes before your appointment. If possible, please also allow for a little extra time afterwards.

Can I still receive treatment even if I don’t have a good command of German?

Yes. However, to ensure your treatment is carried out safely, we need to make sure we can communicate clearly with one another. Please let us know when you book your appointment if you need help with communication.

Does the surgery carry out home visits?

Due to our schedule, home visits are currently only possible in exceptional circumstances. Please get in touch so that we can assess your individual situation. If we are unable to arrange a home visit, the 116 117 helpline can help you find suitable dental care.

FAQ

Documents and patient data

Can you reissue a lost bonus booklet?

Yes. We can access the data we hold from the past ten years and add the relevant entries retrospectively.

Please arrange an appointment in advance to collect it. As we process such requests in batches, we are unable to issue a new bonus booklet on the spot at reception.

How do I obtain copies of my medical records?

Please contact our practice team in good time, either in writing or by telephone. We will prepare the necessary documents for you and then arrange for you to collect them or for them to be sent to you securely.

It is not usually possible to collect documents on the spot at reception.

How can my records be transferred to another practice?

You can authorise the requesting doctor’s or dentist’s surgery to request the necessary documents from us. We will then send these directly to the relevant surgery via a secure channel.

Alternatively, you can collect your documents from us in person by prior arrangement.

How do I open an encrypted message from the surgery?

Click on the button in the notification email to open the secure message. You can then request a one-time code to securely access the message.

If you are unable to open the message, please contact our practice team.

FAQ

Treatment and billing

Do you carry out treatments under general anaesthetic?

No, we do not offer treatments under general anaesthesia at our practice. If you are anxious about dental treatment, please let us know when you book your appointment. We will discuss with you how we can make your appointment as comfortable as possible.

Can I pay in cash at the surgery?

No, we do not accept cash payments at our practice. If you have any questions about the payment options available, our practice team will be happy to help.

Who should I contact if I have any questions about my invoice?

If you have received your invoice via the DZR, you will find the contact details for any enquiries in the top right-hand corner of the letter. Please direct any questions regarding payment deadlines or the possibility of paying in instalments directly to the DZR.

We will, of course, also be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the content of your treatment or individual items on the invoice in person. Please set out your enquiry in writing in advance where possible, or arrange an appointment to discuss it.

I have private supplementary insurance. What is the procedure?

If a treatment and cost plan is required for your treatment, please submit this to your supplementary insurance provider before treatment begins.

As soon as you have received a response from your insurer, please get back in touch with us. We can then plan the next steps in your treatment and arrange appointments together.
